Tax Season is in full swing and here at Reliance Tax Group, we want to make sure you are fully prepared! This year may feel a little different because of the impacts of COVID-19. We’re here to give you a little extra information to make sure your tax season runs as smooth as possible.
What impacts will COVID-19 have on my tax return?
Our entire country is facing a major slow-down. While this may mean your taxes are not delivered as fast as it has in prior years, Reliance Tax Group will continue to work as quickly and diligently as possible to ensure your tax refund comes in a timely manner. We are here to answer any questions you may have about your tax return. We’re just a phone call away, or you can visit our website for more information.
Economic Recovery
In 2020, the IRS and the Treasury Department began issuing a set of Economic Impact Payments to assist with economic hardship from loss of income due to the pandemic. Most people have received their stimulus payments. For some, they either did not receive payment at all, or they did not receive the full amount.
When filing your 2020 taxes, Reliance will be taking all of this information into account. If you did not receive the correct or full amount, we will be able to assist with the Recovery Rebate Credit. You can learn more about this credit on the IRS website.
